Objective is to form best 5-card poker hand from your two cards and five cards in the middle (“community”). Each round of betting has a name.
- PRE-FLOP: To start, all players are dealt two cards. The two players left of the “dealer” have automatic bets placed (called “blinds”). Other players bet until all bets are equal. Dealer is shown with yellow chip in front of them.
- FLOP: 3 community cards are dealt. Players bet
- TURN: 1 additional community card is dealt. Players bet
- RIVER: Last community card is dealt. Players bet
The winner is the player that remains with the best 5-card poker hand. If at any time all but one player Fold, hand is over and that player wins the pot.
In each round the first player can Bet, Check (pass), or Fold. Once a bet is placed, other players can Call (match bet), Raise (increase bet), or Fold.
At any time a player can bet all points, known as going “all in”.
